Are you one of small percentage who is able to spot the hidden face in this photo, as only one in 10 people are able to find it at first glance? While most people will think of optical illusions as fun challenges, they are also a great tool to help test your intelligence, eye sight, and possibly even reveal insights into your IQ.
Most optical illusions can be counted as brainteasers. These are puzzles, questions or problems that require mental effort to solve and are designed to stimulate cognitive processes, including critical thinking, problem-solving and lateral thinking. They come in many fun forms including riddles, logic puzzles, maths problems and, as stated, as optical illusions where you try to find things hidden within a photo.
One man named Dean Jackson shared his fascination for these kinds of brainteasers, and often shares different kinds of optical illusions for his 701.900 TikTok followers to solve.

In one specific optical illusion, he shared a black and white photo of two young girls who are both looking away from the camera.
One girl has dark hair and is wearing a dark long-sleeved shirt. She is looking down onto the ground while the light-haired girl next to her, who is wearing a lighter long-sleeved top is looking towards her. But according to Dean, there's a third face hidingsomewhere in the photo.
"There's a face staring back at you from that picture," he said, referring to the picture above him in the video. "But you know, only one in 10 people will see it holding their phone at their normal distance [from their eyes]."
If you can't see the face at first, Dean suggest to prop your phone up against something before turning your back against your phone and walk away by five steps.
"Now, turn around and nine out of 10 people will now see the face staring back at them," he told his viewers. However, if you still can't see the face, he urge people to walk away by five more steps before looking back at the phone.
"And now 95% of people will see the face," he claimed.
Where is the hidden face?If you weren't able to spot the third face hiding in the photo, one person took to the comments to reveal: "I squinted my eyes and saw eyes with the blinds hair, the nose and mouth on her [white] jumper!"
Several viewers soon took to the comment section of the video to share their experiences, with many sharing their shock of being able to see the face.
"Is it only me who got jumpscared," one person said, to which another viewer replied: "Nope I jumped out of my skin."
Another person criticised: "The face is NOT staring back at me, it's staring to the top right."
"The easiest way to see it is just to repeatedly blink as fast as you can. You see it regardless of distance," a fourth viewer told others. Another said: "I just tilted my phone at arms length and it appeared."
However some weren't able to see the face as they said: "can't see anything".
